Tipperary Travel Tech Company Named Finalist in National Enterprise Awards
Ballina‑based hospitality technology firm to represent Local Enterprise Office Tipperary at national finals in Dublin.
A Ballina‑based travel technology company has been named a finalist in this year’s National Enterprise Awards, placing it among the country’s leading small businesses.
I Left You A Note Ltd will represent Local Enterprise Office Tipperary at the prestigious awards, now in their 27th year, which take place on Thursday 18 June, in the Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin.
Led by Stephen O’Sullivan, the company delivers an AI‑powered, real‑time guest engagement platform designed specifically for the hospitality sector. The platform enables hotels to identify and resolve guest issues during a stay, before they result in negative online reviews, while also generating measurable in‑stay revenue and reducing front‑of‑house workload through automation. The business commenced trading in 2024 as a sole trader and incorporated as I Left You A Note Ltd in 2025.
Traditionally, hotels have relied on reception desks, telephone calls and post‑stay surveys to manage guest communication. However, these channels often fail to capture issues as they arise, meaning problems are frequently only discovered after a guest has checked out, typically through negative online reviews, when the opportunity to resolve the issue and protect the guest experience has already passed. I Left You A Note addresses this gap by enabling guests to communicate discreetly and instantly with hotel teams through a mobile portal accessed via QR and NFC touchpoints located throughout the property.
Speaking ahead of the competition, Stephen said “I am incredibly honoured to represent LEO Tipperary at the awards final and I feel privileged to join with the other worthy finalists from across the country. The award was announced during Local Enterprise Week last month and while the PR opportunity locally is invaluable and highlights the entrepreneurial activity in the county, the national exposure is priceless for any small business”.

Local Enterprise Office Tipperary have had recent success at the awards including Nutshed from Nenagh who scooped the South West Regional Award at the competition in 2024.
The Finalists compete for a prize fund of €50,000 and along with an overall National Enterprise of the Year winner, there are categories for Best Start-Up, Best Export Business, an Innovation Award, a One-to-Watch Award and a Sustainability Award. There is also an Outstanding Achievement award for a business that started with their Local Enterprise Office and has gone on to achieve international growth with the assistance of Enterprise Ireland.
Previous winners of the National Enterprise Awards include the likes of Irish Yoghurts (1998), Obelisk (2000), Simtech Aviation (2008), Digiweb (2004) and Design Pro (2013), Terra NutriTech (2018), Pestle & Mortar (2019), Bevcraft (2021), Aqualicence in 2022 and Advanced Cosmetics in 2023.
The National Enterprise Awards are one of a number of initiatives that the Local Enterprise Offices run, to foster entrepreneurship across the country. Others include Local Enterprise Week, the Student Enterprise Programme, National Women’s Enterprise Day, and Local Enterprise Showcase.
