Tipperary householders are being urged to bring their batteries, electrical, and electronic waste to a set of free collection days to help the county meet national e-waste recycling targets for 2023.
The events, hosted by WEEE Ireland in partnership with Tipperary County Council, kick off on Saturday July 22 at the Mid Tipperary Co-Op Mart, Ballycarrane, Thurles, from 10am-4pm.
On Saturday July 29, the collection will take place at the Templemore Co-Op Mart, Bank Street, Templemore, from 10am-4pm, and on Saturday August 12 there will be a collection at Cahir Co-Op Mart, Cashel Road, Cahir, from 10am-4pm.
All household items with a plug or a battery will be accepted free of charge, including old washing machines, TVs, toasters and kettles, electronic tools and toys, cables, IT equipment, mobile phones, remote controls, batteries, including farm fence batteries, and even watches.
