NOTICE is hereby given that Tipperary County Council has made an Order closing:

BE CLOSED: R493 Ballyanny Lower, 1KM south of Knigh Cross, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary
PERIOD OF
CLOSURE: 00.00hrs on Monday the 09 September 2024 to 23.59hrs on Tuesday the 10 September 2024
ALTERNATIVE
ROUTES: Northbound- North on the N52 to the junction of N52/L-1208 at Lahorna Ball Alley and west on the L1208 - L1207 to the junction of the R493/L-1208 at Knigh Cross

Southbound- East at the junction of R493/L-1208 at Knigh Cross, along the L-1208 – L-1207 to the junction of the N52/L1207 at Lahorna Ball Alley

REASON FOR CLOSURE: Installation of a Cattle underpass

NOTICE TO LANDOWNERS AND OCCUPIERS
OF LAND ADJOINING PUBLIC ROADS

ROADS ACT 1993, SECTION 70 ROADSIDE TREES, DITCHES AND HEDGES

From 1 September 2024 until 28 February 2025

Tipperary County Council wishes to give notice that under the terms of the Roads Act, 1993, Landowners and occupiers of lands are obliged to take all reasonable care to ensure that trees, shrubs, ditches, hedges and other vegetation growing on their lands are not or could not become a danger to those using a public road or to somebody carrying out maintenance or improvement work on the road.
Examples of hazards include dead or dying trees, ditches or hedges interfering with traffic, blocking footpaths, obscuring road signs or obscuring the view of the road ahead. You are required to fell, cut, log, trim or remove such trees, ditches and hedges.
