Transboundary Environmental Public Consultation- Belgium Doel 4 and Tihange 3

On 14 July 2022, the Minister for Housing, Local Government & Heritage, received a letter from the Belgian Minister of Energy in relation to the proposed 10 year extension to the operational life of the Doel 4 and Tihange 3 nuclear power plants, located near the Port of Antwerp and the village of Tihange respectively. This letter invited Ireland to participate in a transboundary EIA consultation in relation to the proposed project and advised that relevant environmental documentation would be available early in 2023. The documentation necessary to facilitate transboundary EIA consultation was received on 20 March 2023 from Belgian authorities.

Tipperary County Council now invite the residents of the local area, members of the public and other interested parties to participate in the second non-statutory public consultation on the Route Corridor Options for the Lough Derg Greenway Project. This consultation will run from Monday 28th November 2022 to Thursday 12th January 2023.

Residential Zoned Land Tax- RZLT

Residential Zoned Land Tax (RZLT) is an annual tax. It is calculated at 3% of the market value of land within its scope. It will apply from 2024 onwards. Certain properties are excluded from the tax such as existing residential properties liable for Local Property Tax (LPT).
