Closure - Ladies Well Walk Thurles

Thurles Golf Club will commence work on Friday 9th August on felling the commercial forestry around "Ladies Well"
Ladies Well Walk will be closed on Wednesday, 14th, Thursday, 15th and Friday 16th August, 2024 at both entrances from the Mill Road and the N62.

Skatepark Closure – Thurles Town Park

The skatepark at Thurles Town Park will be closed from Tuesday 12th September 2023 until further notice to facilitate necessary repair works.

Warm Air Does Not Mean Warm Water

Water Safety Ireland is cautioning people not to underestimate the dangers of swimming in cold
water. The caution comes as air temperatures rise however water temperatures are still cold.
Swimming in cold water can result in the rapid cooling of muscles needed to swim and stay afloat.
Swim within your depth, swim briefly and be mindful that any cooling of the muscles can make it more
difficult to swim safely.
