Courses
Sean Treacy Memorial Swimming Pool Courses
Pool Lifeguard Course
Dates: June 29th, 30th, July 6th, 7th, 8th, 31st
Course time: 8.00am - 4.00pm each day
Prerequisite
-All candidates must be min 16 years of age at the time of the course.
- Be able to swim 100 metres on front and 100 metres on back.
- Swim 50 metres in 60 seconds.
- Surface dive to a depth of at least 1.5 metres.
Assistant Swimming Teacher Course
Dates: July 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 9th, 10th, 11th
Time: 9.00 am - 5.00 pm each day
Prerequisites
- Candidates must be 16 years of age.
- Life Saving minimum Safety 4 of WSI or Pool
- Lifeguard WSI or equivalent.
Full Swimming Teacher Course
Dates: July 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 9th, 10th, 11th
Time: 9.00 am - 5.00 pm each day
Prerequisites
- Candidates must be 18 years of age.
- Have passed assistant teacher course or equivalent.
- Have achieved the required teaching experience at assistant level (min 20 hrs).
- Hold a current Water Safety Certificate of a standard not less than the rescue 1 or equivalent or pool lifeguard.
- Have verified teaching experience as an Assistant Teacher.
