    Decision To Close The L-2708 Bridge Street, Carrick On Suir, Co.Tipperary As A Matter Of Urgency

    NOTICE is hereby given that Tipperary County Council has made an Order closing:

    ROAD TO
    BE CLOSED: L-2708 Bridge Street, from it’s junction with Main Street R885, to its junction with North Quay L-6712/L-27018.
    PERIOD OF
    CLOSURE: From 07.00hrs on Monday 01 September 2025 to 19.00hrs on Sunday 28 September 2025.
    ALTERNATIVE
    ROUTES: Follow Main St R885, through Westgate on to Greystone St. and on to N24 Well Road, to the junction of the N24 at Deerpark. Turn South on to L-6712 and continue to Bridge Street.
    REASON FOR CLOSURE: Repair and replacement of water mains

    Notice To Landowners And Occupiers Of Land Adjoining Public Roads - Hedge Cutting Season 2025/2026

    NOTICE TO LANDOWNERS AND OCCUPIERS OF LAND ADJOINING PUBLIC ROADS

    ROADS ACT 1993, Section 70 Roadside Trees, Ditches and Hedges

    From 1 September 2025 until 28 February 2026

    Tipperary County Council wishes to give notice that under the terms of the Roads Act, 1993, Landowners and occupiers of lands are obliged to take all reasonable care to ensure that trees, shrubs, ditches, hedges and other vegetation growing on their lands are not or could not become a danger to those using a public road or to somebody carrying out maintenance or improvement work on the road.

    Examples of hazards include dead or dying trees, ditches or hedges interfering with traffic, blocking footpaths, obscuring road signs or obscuring the view of the road ahead. You are required to fell, cut, log, trim or remove such trees, ditches and hedges.
