N24 CAHIR TO LIMERICK JUNCTION & OOLA TRANSPORT PROJECT

    Design Update No. 3

Tipperary County Council is progressing the development of the N24 Cahir to Limerick Junction & Oola Transport Project in partnership with Limerick City & County Council, Transport Infrastructure Ireland and the Department of Transport. Arup are the appointed Technical Advisors to advance the project through the planning and design phases. The project is being managed by the Mid West National Road Design Office on behalf of Tipperary County Council. The project is a priority investment in the Government’s National Development Plan 2021-2030.
Since Design Update No. 2 in October 2024, the design team have further progressed the design of the active travel and road components of the Preferred Transport Solution to take account of results from site surveys (including geotechnical investigations, topographical surveys and environmental surveys) and feedback from ongoing landowner engagement.
Design Update No. 3 Drawings for the proposed active travel and road components will be published on the Project Website www.n24cahirlimerick.ie from 1pm on Tuesday 27 May 2025. These drawings will be indicative only and subject to change as part of the ongoing design refinement process.
A public display will take place in the Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel on Tuesday 27 May 2025 from 1pm until 8pm, and on Wednesday 28 May 2025 from 10am until 8pm and drawings will be available for viewing. Property owners, communities and other stakeholders are encouraged to consult with the project team by attending the public display on the above dates.
Property owners along the corridors for both the proposed active travel and road components will be notified by post and invited to consult with the project team, either in person, or by online or telephone meetings.
Design Update notices will be published in newspapers, local authority websites and on the project website, announced on local radio stations and shared on social media platforms.
