DECISION TO CLOSE L-8111-0 AT RATHKEA, TIPPERARY TOWN, CO. TIPPERARY.
NOTICE is hereby given that Tipperary County Council has made an Order closing:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: |
The L-8111-0 at Rathkea, Tipperary Town, Co. Tipperary. |

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: |
The road will be closed daily from 07:00hrs to 18:00hrs commencing from Monday 01 September 2025 to Sunday 28 September 2025. |

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: |
Northbound traffic: Will be diverted west on L-4107 to Carneys Cross (junction of L-4109) and turn North onto L-4109, continue to Kilross, junction of L-4109 & R662, turn East on to R662 and continue East to Mount Bruis, junction of R662 with L-8111 – End Detour.
Southbound Traffic: West on L-8111 to junction with R662 and continue on R662 to Kilross, junction of R662 and L-4109. Turn South on L-4109 and continue to Carneys Cross, Junction of L-4109 with L-4107. Turn East on to L-4107 and continue to Rathkea – End Diversion. Due to narrow road, signage will be provided to advise vehicles approaching from either direction to the Northern most junction of the L-8111 & L-8111 of how to access the R662 and engage with the main detour route. |
| REASON FOR CLOSURE: |
To facilitate the repair/replacement of the water main and all associated works, including reinstatement of the carriageway, footway and verges where required.
