Section 38 Notice Abbey Road, Thurles - Safety Works in the vicinity of Thurles Train Station on Abbey Road

This application is for Low-Cost Safety works in the vicinity of Thurles Train Station on Abbey Road.  

The development consists of the construction of enhanced pedestrian facilities and speed reduction measures in the area around Thurles Railway Station entrance and Bohernanave Road Junction onto the R660.

Works include:

•             Provision of a new pedestrian crossing on the western side of the Railway Station entrance on the R660 

•             Tightening of the Bohernanave Road junction and installation of wider footpaths

•             General footpath improvements to provide enhanced pedestrian connectivity to the rail station.

•             Associated drainage and lining works in the area.

Drawings for the proposed works are available for inspection from Wednesday, 28th February, 2024 to Wednesday, 3rd April, 2024.
