Intention To Close The L-2264-50 & The L-6188-0 To Upperchurch Windfarm Substation Access, Co. Tipperary.

NOTICE is hereby given that Tipperary County Council proposes to make an Order closing:

ROAD TO
BE CLOSED The L-2264-50 and the L6188-0 at Knockmaroe, Kilcommon, Co. Tipperary.
PERIOD OF
CLOSURE: 07:00hrs to 19:00hrs daily, from Monday 08 June 2026 to Friday 03 July 2026.
ALTERNATIVE
ROUTES: Traffic in both directions shall be diverted via the R503 from the R497/R503 junction at Cooneen’s Cross and the L4139 at Shevry.

REASON FOR CLOSURE: To facilitate excavations, ducting and backfilling of 110kv grid connection for the Upperchurch Windfarm.

BE CLOSED The L-60091-0 at Carrowkeale, Co. Tipperary.
PERIOD OF
CLOSURE: 07:00hrs to 19:00hrs daily, from Monday 08 June 2026 to Friday 10 July 2026.
ALTERNATIVE
ROUTES: All traffic in and out of the L60091 Cul de Sac at Carrowkeale will be diverted via the L6009 to the R503 at Newport hurling field, the R503 to Kilnacappagh and a private road to rejoin the L60091 at Carrowkeale.

REASON FOR CLOSURE: To facilitate excavations ducting and backfilling of 110kv grid connection for the Upperchurch Windfarm.

DECISION TO CLOSE THE L-2210 BALLINTOGHER TO SPRINGHILL, CO. TIPPERARY AS A MATTER OF URGENCY

NOTICE is hereby given that Tipperary County Council has made an Order closing as a matter of urgency:

ROAD TO
BE CLOSED: L-2210 Ballintogher to Springhill Road, Killenaule, from the junction of the R-691 Cashel Road, Co. Tipperary.
PERIOD OF
CLOSURE: 18:00hrs on Friday 01 May 2026 to 18:00hrs on Friday 31 July 2026.
ALTERNATIVE
ROUTES: Eastbound R-691 traffic – continue eastbound on the R691 bear right to head south and follow the R689 to Killenaule.

Westbound R-691 traffic – continue west to turn south onto the L-1403 (Moyglass) continue following Moyglass taking a right turn (Southbound) turn left at the first junction following a local road south-east bound, take the first left turn (northbound) to access a local road that serves Cashel Road.

Westbound Cashel Road traffic – turn left at Springhill Road Closure towards Dunguib, turn right onto local road heading westbound onto a local road, follow to the next junction, turn right, continue to the L-1403 and continue to the R-698 then turn right.

Eastbound Cashel Road traffic – turn right at the Springhill road closure to follow Cashel Road to Killenaule, turn left (northbound) on the R-689, continue northbound on the R-689 for 1.2km to Ashgrove, exit the R-689 on to the R-691, at the cross-road junction (800m from R-689 junction) bear around to the left following the R-691, travel westbound on the R-691.

REASON FOR CLOSURE: To facilitate the installation of water main and all associated works, including reinstatement of carriageway, footway and verges.
